The history of Aleppo soap
Aleppo soap is known as the oldest hard soap in the world and is the predecessor of Marseille soap and has a history of several centuries. Since 1895, the AL NAJJAR family has been making this classic soap using ancestral techniques. Every year from the end of November to March of the following year, the soap making process always follows the same traditional recipe. After at least 9 months of natural air drying, the outer layer of the soap gradually oxidizes and turns yellow, while the inside retains the olive oil and the natural green color of laurel oil. This process ensures the soap's highly effective skin care properties and sets it apart.
